Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, Tamraght and Taghazout are relaxed coastal villages in Morocco. They are known for surfing, sunshine, and a slow, easy way of life. Here, time feels calm.

✺ VISIT

Start your day by the sea at Taghazout Bay. Feel the cool sand under your feet and breathe in the fresh ocean air. . Under the warm sun, a 90s-style fisherman's hat is perfect. It protects you from the sun and fits perfectly with the natural, seaside lifestyle.

For a different view, climb the hills above Taghazout and discover the world-famous skate park. From there, you can see the ocean, long waves, golden rocks, and small white villages.

Then, stroll along the coast from Tamraght to Taghazout and watch the surfers in the water and the fishermen at work. If you want to explore further, grab a scooter to discover the neighboring beaches.

Later for  sunset, sit on the terrace of Windy Bay and watch the sky turn orange and pale pink as the ocean darkens.

Tamraght and Taghazout are more than just places. They represent a way of life where surfing, nature, and freedom come together.

✺ EAT 

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast at La Panière d'Imourane. You will have the pleasure of tasting baghrir, bat-bout with amlou, a homemade spread, and authentic Moroccan coffee. What better way to start your day!

Take a break in the small village of Tamraght, at Soukaina's, where you will enjoy authentic and delicious dishes. You will taste a traditional tagine, fresh grilled fish, or authentic couscous accompanied by mint tea made by this lovely woman.
The sunny terraces and sharing tables invite you to slow down, share a meal, and enjoy the sound of the waves.  

✺ SHOP

Tamraght is full of small shops steeped in surf culture, such as Coastal Clothes. Here you will find handmade surfboards, local crafts, and a lot of clothes.

For more artisanal products, take a trip to Tamraght's Souk which is open only on Wednesday morning. There, you will find handmade gems and typical Moroccan street food.

HIDDEN GEM 

Must try  : Moon Z3Z3 high up in the mountains of Tamraght. You will meet Brahim, he always takes the time to tell you the history of Morocco while you enjoy excellent Berber dishes. This small, typically Moroccan restaurant is perfect to recharge your battery while completely immersing yourself in the local culture.
